Onion Pakoda

Pakoda flour mix

Chickpea flour - 1 cup

Rice flour -1 cup

Chillie powder - 1 tsp

Baking soda - 1/4 tsp

Salt - 2 tsp

Avocado Oil - enough  to deep fry


Onion - 3 (medium sized) cut into thin long pieces

Garlic - 2 pods grated

Ginger - 1 inch piece grated

Mint leaves - 2 Tbs chopped

Cilantro - 2 Tbs chopped  

Place the above ingredients in a large bowl. Sprinkle 2 Tbs of pakoda flour mix and combine well. Add 2 Tbs of hot oil and mix. Add more pakoda flour as needed one Tbs at a time and sprinkle water to barely coat the onions with the pakoda flour. Fry pakodas in hot oil until they are golden brown and crispy.
